War didn’t change me … but four months as the enemy’s captive did. I return home broken. Scarred. The call to combat still echoes in my soul. Haunted by the deaths of my squad, darkness festers inside me, set on vengeance.
When I learn a serial killer has taken the lives of seven little girls, nothing will get in my way of stopping him. And every other predator that crosses my path. Unlike the police, I’m not bound by man-made laws. The victims deserve freedom, or their deaths avenged.
How long will it take for the police to realise a woman is leaving bodies hanging across the city?
I always love a strong, independent, badass female lead. Finley is lovingly relatable, dark and gritty. She is truly a force to be reckoned with. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series, definitely adding to my list of favorites.
Finley is a strong , complex and determined female lead character, a real survivor and warrior for justice. Hardened by her own shocking experiences of war she sets out to dispense justice on the predators who seek target defenceless victims. She is driven by a just cause. A riveting and suspenseful story, dark at times, but enthralling right to the very end. The author writes with impeccable quality, her characters have depth and the sense of setting is very strong. Highly recommended.
